Presented by KCTV/myKSMO and Friends of the River—Kansas City, the acclaimed KCRiverFest returns to Kansas City’s Richard Berkley Riverfront Park with a fireworks spectacular by internationally-renowned Zambelli Fireworks. Last year, the 18-minute extravaganza thrilled thousands as the fireworks reflected on the waters of the Missouri River accompanied by exciting music. This year, festival goers will be treated to a “sneak preview” fireworks show on July 3rd at approximately 10 p.m.
Rock, pop, folk and country artists will perform throughout the festival, which will also offer a wide variety of food and beverages. A children’s zone will feature rides, inflatables and entertainment by Radio Disney. The U.S. Army will have numerous attractions on-site to entertain and inform festival goers.
Recognized by Special Event Magazine as a 2008 finalist for Best Fair/Festival, KCRiverFest is in its fifth year of celebrating America’s Independence, Kansas City style. Last year’s event attracted 35,000 attendees.
Regular priced adult tickets are $6 at the gate, but may be purchased online for $5 at www.KCRiverFest.com. Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover are accepted online. Children age five and under are free. Visa and MasterCard will also be accepted at the gate July 3rd and 4th.
