I have a Roth IRA with Primerica. As a client I can't really say that I am displease but I certainly have not been impressed. Their website is at least 5 years behind and my representitive no longer lives in the KC area. My account balance is very small so I'm sure he thinks there are 'bigger fish to fry' but I receive very little, if any, communication from him. (This wouldn't necessarily bother me if I could get the info from the website.)

I don't know if you're looking to get into Primerica or invest with them. Whatever your decision I wish you the best!
It may not be the size "fish" you are, it is more likely that they are more 'salesperson' than 'advisor' and so after the sale they move on. A professional advisor keeps in contact with all clients.
Thank you Crystal. I am looking to get into the program, and if I do, have better service manners.
Robert,
I'm not sure I understand what you mean by you're having a current crisis. Are you looking for a way to be your own boss in this difficult job market? And maybe Primerica is one of the opportunities you're considering to earn residual income? I don't have a lot of info about Primerica and it's earning potential, but if you're looking for a company that is growing exponentially, you might want to check out Vemma Nutrition Co. One of my business associates actually gave up his financial advisor career to focus on this business full time. If you have any interest in health and wellness and a company that's in 54 countries with a premier liquid nutritional product, please let me know. It may or may not be a fit, but it's really worth checking out. There's actually a short video by our President/CEO BK Boreyko on my website. Let me know if you want to talk. Thanks, Robert, and have a great day! Debbie Garr www.myvemma.com/debbiegarr
I have carried your card around so that if the time comes I can call. I will try this weekend since the weekday really hasn't worked out.
Karen showed me the business card you designed for her...really cool!!! I like the whole delivery and consolidation for the message. I hope others can benefit from your skills. In fact I may find time to blog about it. I do have to work 10 hrs Sat but we will see...
I have received several phone calls with a deceptive greeting. i.e. requesting assistance from me to help a friends presentation skills. (This is a 3rd part making this request) When I probed for more information of who, why, where, how, etc... I discovered that they were Primerica. There have been other deceptive greetings as well. Those deceptions seem quite low to me.
Were these people you don't know in anyway? See, have been looking at this as a fiance supplement, but the whole multi-level part had me concerned, and the pitch of helping with a presentation is a part that they have already informed me as a method for getting an audience. I'm not looking to scam, only provide an easement possibility if stuff is too intense.
Thank you for your input prior to my final decision.
I have had a couple of experiences with them (the first maybe 9 years ago) and like Crystal has said, it really depends on what kind of investment you want to make with them. I went to the infornational meeting about a month ago from a friends invitation (though I already knew what to expect). I appreciated the approach they had on how to save enough money, what financial institutions aren't telling you, etc., and could possibly be interested in using them in some investment capacity. However, to be a rep for them is something I'll never do. I don't want my professional/financial success determined by how many other people I recruit to be on board, and how many people they recruit, and so on. They lost me when they got to that part. I know you said you're interested in getting into the program, but it's no walk in the park trying get people interested in this kind of business venture. The friend that invited me is experiencing that same problem. Whatever your decision, best of luck to you.
Thank you Khary,

My main interest is more to the helping people not, definitely not the recruiting part. That smacks so much of AmWay that it gives me hives. If along the way others are interested in how this happened to me, I believe it should be just like a witness, if they notice and ask, I'll tell'em, if not, I'll keep my mouth shut. (if I go forward that is)
If this is your main interest Robert (and you like and trust the person who is training you) you'll do fine. I've been with the company part time for several years and enjoy working with people that are unhappy with their financial position. If you don't mind me asking, who are you working with, who is training you?
Cristine Cox has introduced me to a better way of thinking. I like the concept, I like the "shoe me how" and until this last Thursday meeting my wife has been a skeptic. I don't want to get into a process of working but working against the "best thing to happen to me person" in my life. I am hoping she can come to the coming Thursday meeting. She is a multi-tasked professional working in Lee's Summit while we live in Parkville. Commute time as well as job dedication are an issue. I refuse to join, sign or part with the low-low fee to liscense until she looks me in the eye and tells me'Go Gettem"
If you are working with Christine you are working with a fabulous lady and I can't think of anyone better to work with. She's in our office and has always been an inspiration to me. I agree with not joining unless your wife is behind you, she is the loudest voice in your head, and unless she is on the same page then there is a problem. Also when you are training someone of the opposite gender it's a good thing to have your spouse know who you are working with. Can you imagine your wife saying "Well I don't know what Robert is doing, but he goes out a couple nights a week with some girl named Christine and comes home with $500 to $1000 bucks"? When you get there Thursday look me up, it will be a pleasure to meet you.
