The Robotics In KC group is dedicated to enthusiasts interested in designing, building and operating robots for fun, competition, research, or enterprise in and around the Kansas City area.
Robotics is one of those words that seems to defy definition, almost everybody has a little different perception of the word's meaning. Robots often come to mind ranging from fictional characters to battlebots destroying each other, industrial robots used to perform tasks harmful to humans, and mechanical robots designed to look and act like humans. For this purpose, the Wikipedia definition is used: Robotics is the science and technology of robots, their design, manufacture and application.
