Andrew, Not sure what area you're interested in (managerial, sales, finance, entrepreneurial, etc.) but here's a few: First, Break All the Rules - Buckingham & Coffman; The Five Dysfunctios of a Team - Patrick Lencioni; The Four Obsessions of an Extraordinary Executive/A Leadership Fable - Patrick Lincioni.

Anyone have some good business books suggestions?

Kevin, I agree, David McCullough's 1776 was excellent. I'll take your suggestion on Truman.

I read a great novel right before I left Chicago. Emily's Ghost was a story loosely based on the love affair of Emily Bronte' and a young curate that worked with her father.
She was a strange and wonderful woman and died far to early. I would love to revisit the Moors and see my birthplace in England again.

Kevin, thanks again for loaning me The Fred Factor. I enjoyed it very much and found his examples of being a Fred very interesting. Hope you enjoyed your Starbuck's!

Jeana, I have the Fred Factor that you are more than welcome to borrow. It is a quick read with a strong message about customer service.

Hello everyone, I just joined the group. I am an avid reader of a wide variety of books. I read professional leadership books, family improvement, fiction ranging from Margaret Weis (who I know) to Craig Griffon. I also occasionally enjoy a good book about history, 1776 and Truman but David McCullough (sp?) are both excellent books. I liked Truman because I learned so much about the KC area and how it developed.

Jeana, I once had the never check email book and can search for it if you are still needing it.
