Great Event last night at JCCC. I flipped through a few channels when I got home last night and saw a lot of "Fair Tax" signs in the crowd. So hopefully "Fair Tax" solution will continue to gain awareness nationwide.

Keep spreading the message.

Howdy Brett ! I do not think that there was a "breakfast meeting" on Oct 1st - because we decided to have a leader's meeting on Oct 4th.

I travel frequently but would love to meet for Coffee 7:30 at Panera
I just joined this group so I missed the Oct Panera morning Coffee

Besides our online discussions let's do Panera's in Johnson County Let's consider meeting for coffee 7:30 AM First Wed. of every month using the Panera's at 75th and Antioch as our first site starting 10/1 this way we have only 2 weeks in between our Thurs evening monthly gatherings and we appeal to the breakfast folks beside the evening attenders.

Will monitor to see if others agree to meet Wed. 10/1 at that Panera's

Craig is right. My favorite benefits from FAIR TAX.
1. Without corporate taxation (unless they are an end user of a product or service) businesses would no longer need to leave our shores. Without corporate taxes businesses from all over the globe would move to America for this and the added benefit to be closer to their consumer base, escaping high transportation costs. This equals more jobs, more money and prosperity.
2. It’s hard to conceptualize potential losses from the criminal aspect. I believe one large aspect would be from tax evaders both big and small. This would include the working joe that mows a yard for cash and doesn’t report the income to the IRS. Then there is the corporate CEO who hides his money off shore. Another large aspect is criminal enterprises selling drugs or committing massive amounts of check fraud and counterfeiting. At first I didn’t see this as a monumental problem but the more I work in this arena I am quickly changing my mind. Not only does the government not capture (tax) assets from these enterprises but they take ever increasing tax to combat it. Then players in this criminal game of cat and mouse seek further government aid from various programs because they don’t appear to have generated income. Without taxation these same people spend freely enjoying an elevated lifestyle while savers are penalized.
3. I like the idea that everyone pays taxes proportionate to their consumption level. With the fair tax we might not have had the problems in the market that we have now. Everyone is MAXED OUT and the balloon has popped. The sad part is that now the saver/responsible person is going to bail out the irresponsible spend thrift without the benefit of enjoying the product or service the spend thrift did. I thought this was a democratic and capitalist society not a socialistic one!

Fairtax will provide more incentive for people to save and be frugal in there purchases as they understand its benefits.
Changing the Washington underground(lobbyists) is important to our future

It will be very important to the Seniors in my age group and the Young wage earners.
